Corinthians have unveiled a special ‘Evolução Corinthiana’ cup for Sunday’s first 2026 Brasileirão Dérbi with Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena, kicking off at 18:30 in the 11th round.

According to Meu Timao, the cup will be sold at the ground for R$ 25 and features a grey backdrop with the club crest in the background. Matheuzinho, Rodrigo Garro, Matheus Bidu, Kaio César and Memphis Depay appear in a human evolution-style sequence, ending with Memphis in his trademark goal celebration. The design also includes the phrase ‘Evolução Corinthiana’ with historic club crests above it.

This is the first league derby of 2026. The sides have met only once this year, a 1-0 win for Palmeiras in the Paulista first phase at the same venue.

Corinthians arrive under pressure, winless in seven in the Brasileiro and sitting 16th, one place above the relegation zone. Hopes for the derby rest with new head coach Fernando Diniz.

Diniz took charge on Monday and ended a nine-match winless run across state and league competition with a 2-0 victory over Platense of Argentina in the club’s Libertadores opener.

Palmeiras lead the league. Coach Abel Ferreira is serving an eight-match suspension from the STJD (Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva), so he will not be on the touchline.
