Corinthians v Grêmio: TV info, team news, line-ups, referee

Corinthians will host Grêmio this Sunday afternoon, November 2, at the Neo Química Arena, at 4:00 pm (Brasília time), for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship. The Alvinegro currently sits in tenth place in the national tournament with 39 points (10 wins, nine draws, and 11 losses – 32 goals scored and 35 conceded).

Corinthians is recovering in the competition and comes from two consecutive victories in the Brasileirão: 1-0 over Atlético-MG (in Itaquera – 29th round) and 1-0 against Vitória (at Estádio do Barradão – 30th round). The club from Parque São Jorge is seeking its third straight win in the national tournament and at the Neo Química Arena – something that hasn't happened since May.

Grêmio, on the other hand, has also been recovering in the competition after the arrival of some reinforcements in the middle of the year and has the same 39 points as Corinthians, occupying the 11th position, with a disadvantage in goal difference (-3 versus -5). The team led by Mano Menezes comes from a 3-1 win last weekend over Juventude, at home.

Probable lineup and absences for Corinthians

The Corinthians coaching staff will be without five players: midfielders Raniele and José Martínez (serving suspensions for their third yellow card in the match against Vitória), midfielder André Luiz (recovering from a ligament injury in his knee), as well as midfielders Breno Bidon (serving a suspension for a red card in the last match) and Vitinho (recovering from arthroscopy on his right knee).

On the other hand, Corinthians will have three new faces for the match: goalkeeper Hugo Souza, recovered from a left shoulder injury, as well as right-back Matheuzinho and midfielder Maycon, who served suspensions for a third yellow card in last weekend's match, October 25, against Vitória, at Barradão.

According to ge.globo, Corinthians, led by Dorival Júnior, should start the match with: Hugo Souza; Matheuzinho, André Ramalho, Gustavo Henrique, and Matheus Bidu; Maycon, Charles, André Carrillo, and Rodrigo Garro; Memphis Depay and Yuri Alberto.

Probable lineup and absences for Grêmio

Grêmio will be without the following players for the match against Corinthians: defender Balbuena (ankle injury – only returns in 2026), right-back Marcos Rocha (recovering from a muscle injury), attacking midfielder Willian (fracture in the fifth metatarsal of the right foot). In addition, defender Rodrigo Ely, right-back João Pedro, midfielder Villasanti, and forward Braithwaite, also injured, will only return in 2026.

With that, coach Mano Menezes plans to field the following team to start the match: Tiago Volpi; João Lucas (Gustavo Martins), Erick Noriega, Kannemann, and Marlon; Dodi, Arthur, and Edenílson; Alysson, Amuzu, and Carlos Vinícius.

Refereeing

The referee will be Davi de Oliveira Lacerda (ES), assisted by Bruno Boschilia (PR) and Douglas Pagung (ES). The fourth official and VAR will be, respectively, Arthur Gomes Rabelo (ES) and Rodrigo Nunes de Sá (RJ). Next fixture

After facing Grêmio in Itaquera for the 31st round of the Brasileirão, Corinthians will remain focused on the national competition. Next Wednesday, November 5, at 7:00 pm (Brasília time), the Alvinegro will visit Red Bull Bragantino at Estádio Cícero de Souza Marques for the 32nd round of the national competition.
