Corinthians visit Athletico Paranaense at 19:30 on Thursday in a rescheduled Campeonato Brasileiro round two fixture, with several absentees to contend with. According to Meu Timao, one player is also at risk of suspension.

Key absentees are Breno Bidon and Yuri Alberto. Breno is in field reconditioning and has not played since the eight February derby with Palmeiras due to a right thigh strain. Yuri Alberto sustained a grade two left biceps femoris injury against São Bernardo on Sunday and such cases typically need three to eight weeks.

Kaio César remains out with a problem in the posterior muscle of his right thigh, while left-back Hugo Farias is recovering from a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee. Fellow left-back Fabrizio Angileri is still not fit to feature.

There are non-injury absences too. Midfielder José Martínez is close to terminating his contract, and defender Cacá has been released to undergo medical tests ahead of a loan move to Vitória.

Dorival Júnior must also manage Raniele’s situation, with the midfielder on two yellow cards. Another caution would rule him out of the meeting with Cruzeiro next Wednesday at 20:00.

The match was postponed at the time because of the Supercopa Rei, which Corinthians won against Flamengo.
