Corinthians welcome exciting duo from Copinha to the Under-17s

Late Monday afternoon (2), Corinthians registered, in the CBF's Daily Information Bulletin (BID), the signings of two athletes born in 2009 for the Under-17 category: midfielder Ji-Paraná, 16, and forward Laerte Júnior, 17. During the 2026 Copinha, wearing the União Cacoalense jersey from Rondônia, both players had performances that caught the attention of the Alvinegro.

In January, the team had already anticipated the arrival of the two athletes to Parque São Jorge. As previously reported by Meu Timão, both have contracts until January 2027 and, if they stand out wearing the Corinthians jersey, they may be purchased by the Alvinegro. They join the Under-17 team (2009 and 2010 generation), which will compete in the Paulista Championship and the Brazilian Championship of the category.

In the last edition of the Copinha, União Cacoalense ended up at the bottom of Group 16, accumulating one draw (São Carlense) and two losses (Santos and Real Brasília) – three goals scored and seven conceded. Ji-Paraná has had stints in the youth teams of Botafogo and Fluminense, while Laerte has played for Internacional and Coritiba in the youth divisions.

In 2026, the Under-17 Timçaozinho will be led by Guilherme Nascimento, assisted by Gabriel Amaral. Both were hired from Athletico-PR and RB Bragantino, respectively, to replace Raphael Laruccia, who left the position after being eliminated in the round of 16 of the Paulista Championship of the category last year.
