Corinthians were beaten 1-0 by Ferroviária on Monday night at Arena Fonte Luminosa, a result that knocked them out in the Copa do Brasil Feminina round of 16. It also ended a 13-match unbeaten run against the Araraquara side.

The rivals have met three times this season, with two Corinthians wins and one for Ferroviária. According to Meu Timao, there are currently no further fixtures scheduled, though they could meet again in the Brasileiro and Paulista knockouts.

Before this week, the only recent defeat to Ferroviária came on 24 August 2022, a 2-1 Campeonato Paulista loss at Estádio Nogueirão. Suzane and Laryh scored for the grená, with Miracatu replying for Corinthians.

On that occasion, coach Arthur Elias rotated heavily, giving minutes to academy and fringe players. Corinthians started Tainá, Lívia, Bell, Mariza, Amanda Vital, Gabi Medeiros, Julia Brito, Miracatu, Miriã, Mylena and Carioca.

During the subsequent unbeaten streak, the Brabas posted eight wins and five draws across the Brasileiro, Paulista, Supercopa and Libertadores. In the 2025 Libertadores semi-final they drew 1-1 with Ferroviária and progressed on penalties, then defeated Deportivo Cali on spot-kicks in the final.

Historically, the head-to-head remains lopsided, with 43 meetings yielding 31 Corinthians wins, 10 draws and two defeats, a 79.84 per cent return. They have scored 90 and conceded 24, at rates of 2.09 and 0.56 per match respectively.

Emily Lima’s side now turn to the Brasileiro, hosting Vitória at the Fazendinha on Sunday at 11:00 in the 13th round.
