Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski refused to hide his excitement after scoring another sensational goal in yesterday’s game against Cremonese.
Speaking to Rai Sport via FCInterNews, the 31-year-old opened up on his joy at contributing to Inter’s fourth consecutive league victory.
Piotr Zielinski flopped in his first season at San Siro.
Despite joining the club as one of Serie A’s standout stars, the Polish midfielder failed to adapt to Simone Inzaghi’s tactics.
Furthermore, recurring injury setbacks further derailed his first-team prospects.
Therefore, the former Napoli man was reportedly close to leaving the Nerazzurri in the summer.
However, the arrival of Cristian Chivu has turned Zielinski’s fortunes around.
Indeed, he has thrived under the 45-year-old manager this term, netting four goals and adding one assist in 20 league appearances.
Yesterday, Zielinski scored a spectacular long-range strike to fire Inter 2-0 up at Stadio Giovanni Zini.
Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez scored his 13th league goal of the season, solidifying his place at the top of the scoring leaderboard.

“I’m happy to be able to contribute,” Zielnski said after the game. “I always try to give my best.
“Today (yesterday, ed.) I also scored a goal, and I’m pleased.
“However, the most important thing was that the three points came back home with us to Milan,” he added.
Moreover, Zielinski refused to let Inter’s comfortable-looking eight-point lead over AC Milan tuck him into a false sense of security.
“Does the eight-point lead matter while waiting for Milan’s match? I don’t know, we’re not thinking about that.
“We have to go onto the pitch every Sunday and show our worth. Trying to win every game – that’s our goal.
“We’re in good shape, we’re happy, but we know we haven’t done anything yet. We always have to give our best.”
