AC Milan visit the Stadio Giovanni Zini on Sunday afternoon as they face Cremonese in a Serie A encounter.
The Rossoneri are looking to bounce back from their first league defeat in six months, while the hosts desperately need points to escape the relegation battle.
Milan, sitting second in the table with 54 points from 26 matches, trails Inter by 13 points but remains focused on securing Champions League qualification.
Federico Baschirotto remains sidelined with an ongoing injury, while midfielder Michele Collocolo is out with a thigh problem and is not expected to return until mid-March.
Romano Floriani Mussolini and Faris Moumbagna are also unavailable through injury.
Additionally, midfielder Martín Payero sustained a knee injury in the defeat to Roma making him a doubt for this match.
Federico Bonazzoli leads the scoring charts for Cremonese this season with five goals and will be crucial to their attacking threat.
The Rossoneri’s injury situation has improved significantly, though they remain without a few players. Mexican forward Santiago Gimenez continues his recovery from ankle surgery performed in December 2025 and is making progress in his rehabilitation.
The major blow for Milan is the absence of midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who suffered a serious facial injury during the 1-0 defeat to Parma on February 22.
Matteo Gabbia remains out with an injury. On the positive side, Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic are both fit and available for selection. Allegri confirmed: “All four of my forwards are doing well. I don’t know who I will field tomorrow, but we will need whoever’s on the bench in the last half hour. Pulisic has improved physically and mentally.”
The hosts are enduring their worst spell of the season, winless in their last 12 matches across all competitions.
Their recent Serie A form makes for grim reading: a 1-0 loss at Sassuolo, a 2-0 home defeat to Inter, a 2-1 loss at Atalanta, a goalless draw with Genoa at home, and most recently a comprehensive 3-0 defeat away to Roma.
After going unbeaten for six months in Serie A, Milan’s impressive run came to an end with a shock 1-0 home defeat to Parma on February 22. Before that setback, the Rossoneri had strung together a solid sequence of results: a 3-0 victory at Bologna, a 2-1 away win at Pisa, and a 1-1 home draw with Como.
Milan’s away form has been exceptional, with the Rossoneri remaining the only team in Serie A yet to taste defeat on the road this season, winning four of their last six away fixtures.
