Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu is desperate to steer his side back on track after an underwhelming three-game winless run in all competitions.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 45-year-old is keen to restore Inter’s confidence after Saturday’s draw against Atalanta.
In addition to a scoreless draw against Como in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tie, Inter have failed to win their last two Serie A matches.
Indeed, after a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to AC Milan, the Nerazzurri shared the spoils with Atalanta in a controversial 1-1 stalemate on Saturday.
As a result, the San Siro giants could go three consecutive Serie A games without winning for the first time this season.
Inter will face Fiorentina at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday night, seeking a way back to winning ways after several disappointing results.
Despite moving eight points clear of the second-placed Rossoneri, Chivu’s men are eager to maintain their commanding lead at the top of the table.
Therefore, they will be desperate to beat Fiorentina next weekend.
Furthermore, Chivu could have Hakan Calhanoglu and Lautaro Martinez at his disposal, with both players set to return from injury.
