Cristiano Ronaldo took time during Al-Nassr’s 5-2 Saudi Pro League win over Al-Najma to acknowledge Felippe Cardoso’s mid-game shirt request. He later followed through after full-time.

According to Goal.com, the Al-Nassr captain paused to read the Brazilian forward’s name and number, a small act of respect that stuck with Cardoso.

After the whistle Ronaldo sought him out and handed over his shirt. Cardoso then shared a photo of the yellow and blue kit on Instagram, saying the result hurt but the day would stay with him.

Cardoso, 27, was a rare bright spark for a side struggling at the bottom of the table, scoring and assisting in the 5-2 defeat. Ronaldo struck twice for the hosts.

The Brazilian joined his current club after a spell at Casa Pia in 2023-2024. He has three goals and three assists in seven appearances.

For Ronaldo, the brace extended his pursuit of a career landmark. The 41-year-old now has 967 goals, 33 short of 1,000.
