Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle for Lens boss Pierre Sage to become their new head coach following Oliver Glasner’s departure.

Sky Sports reports that the 47-year-old Frenchman is set to sign a contract until the summer of 2029, with an option for a further year.

Austrian manager Glasner, 51, led the Eagles to Europa Conference League glory in his second full season, having announced in January that he would leave at the end of the campaign.

Despite that triumph, Palace finished 15th in the Premier League, two points and one place behind newly-promoted Leeds United.

The agreement comes ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, which will be the club’s 14th consecutive season in the top flight.
