New manager Pierre Sage should be content with how the opening fixtures have fallen
Crystal Palace head into the new season after a stunning 12 months of success, but now facing the unknown.
The Eagles followed up their 2025 FA Cup triumph with last season’s Community Shield and Conference League, as manager Oliver Glasner bowed out with European glory.
In comes Pierre Sage, last season’s Ligue 1 Manager of the Year for steering Lens to a second-place finish. He also brings with him a trophy track record, having won the Coupe de France, beating Nice 3-1 in the final.
And Sage has been handed two tricky opening games, before a kinder September. Palace’s first test is a trip to Everton, followed by the first home game of the season, against Manchester City.
September sees them face Fulham, Ipswich and Leeds.
Their first London derby will see them renew rivalries with Fulham on September 8, and take on Brighton away on October 17. The away trip to the south coast is on May 15.
They host Premier League champions Arsenal on Boxing Day, with the away trip to the Emirates on March 3.
Their first game of 2027 is a short trip to Brentford on January 2, and the season concludes at home to Leeds United.
