Liverpool visit Crystal Palace this weekend as both clubs look to preserve their unbeaten starts to the Premier League season.

The Reds have assumed an early perch atop the table, while Palace sit sixth. Crucially, though, neither team has yet lost a match.

Liverpool have picked up maximum points so far this campaign and may be seeking revenge against Palace for the Community Shield loss on penalties at Wembley Stadium six weeks ago.

That remains the only fixture Arne Slot’s side have failed to win in any competition this season, but they will come up against a Palace side who have become very hard to beat under Oliver Glasner.

With both teams in European action next week, one unbeaten run could fall as this fixture tends to provide a winner.

The Eagles are sweating on the fitness of summer signing Yeremy Pino after he was withdrawn at half-time against West Ham complaining of pain in his knee.

Both Yeremy Pino and Ismaila Sarr are available for selection having recovered from their respective injuries.

Walter Benitez remains sidelined with a dislocated finger, though.

Adam Wharton should be able to keep his place in midfield and captain Marc Guehi is expected to start against the club he almost joined in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool will be without Hugo Ekitike for the trip to south London because the Frenchman is suspended after being sent-off for two bookable offences in the Carabao Cup win over Southampton in midweek.

As a result, Alexander Isak is likely to lead the line unless Arne Slot opts for Cody Gakpo through the middle with Florian Wirtz out wide.

Isak, though, is still not thought to be fully match fit, and will not be likely to complete the 90 minutes.

Captain Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah are among the Liverpool players set for a recall after being rested for the cup tie, but Giovanni Leoni will miss out through injury.

Liverpool haven’t been at their best so far this season and their 100 percent winning record is certainly under threat against a Palace side who are unbeaten in their last 17 games across all competitions.

This run from the Eagles includes results against Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal.

However, all good things eventually come to an end. The Reds have developed a knack of grinding out results and we think that will continue at Selhurst Park.
