Dani Parejo, 36, has reached 250 official appearances for Villarreal after featuring against Elche, another landmark in a decorated spell.

El Periódico Mediterráneo notes he has been central to major nights, including the Europa League final, supplying the pass for Gerard Moreno and converting his penalty in the shootout. He was pivotal in the run to the Champions League semi-finals the following season.

Across five and a half seasons, his 250 outings break down as 189 in LaLiga, 16 in the Copa del Rey, 19 in the Europa League, 17 in the Champions League and nine in the Conference League. He sits 13th on Villarreal’s all-time list, four behind Gonzalo Rodríguez and eight off Javi Venta and Sergio Asenjo, keeping a top-10 spot within reach this season.

Among midfielders he ranks third, behind Bruno Soriano on 425 and Marcos Senna on 361. He has also reached 540 LaLiga appearances, ninth in the competition’s history, two shy of Paco Buyo, three of Eusebio Sacristán and six of Loren Juarros.

Out of contract in June 2026 and yet to renew, Parejo marked the milestone on Instagram with a message reflecting on the journey with pride, gratitude to the club, team-mates and supporters, and that his enthusiasm remains. He continues to display notable tactical intelligence on the pitch.
