Darlin Yongwa joins Norwich on four-year deal after Lorient exit | OneFootball

Left-back Darlin Yongwa has joined Norwich City after leaving Lorient on a free last month.

L'Équipe reports the 25-year-old Cameroon international has agreed a four-year contract with the club, who finished ninth in the Championship last season.

It is Yongwa's first move abroad. A Niort academy graduate, he has eight senior caps for Cameroon.

Across four seasons with Lorient, he made 97 appearances in all competitions, including 23 in Ligue 1 last season.

Lorient allowed him to leave at the end of his contract and have not yet recruited a specialist left-back. Arsène Kouassi is currently their only natural option there, while right-back Alec Georgen, signed from Dunkerque in Ligue 2, can also fill in.
