Ex-Leeds United forward Darren Huckerby, now 50, looks unrecognisable after a body transformation, showcasing a ripped physique built through regular gym work.
He joined from Coventry City in summer 1999 for £6million and spent 18 months at Elland Road, fitting David O'Leary's youthful side but struggling for starts amid Mark Viduka, Alan Smith and Michael Bridges. "I remember getting the phone call from my agent that a fee had been agreed with Leeds. I didn't want to go," he told CoventryLive in 2010.
There were standout moments, including a UEFA Cup goal against Partizan Belgrade and a Champions League strike versus Besiktas the following season. By the time Leeds reached the semi-final, he had departed for Manchester City.
Spells at Norwich City, where he remains a club ambassador, and San Jose Earthquakes followed before retirement in 2009 at the age of 33. He clearly keeps fit, mixing gym sessions with the odd run and a pint, especially Guinness.
The former forward often posts about his old clubs and was pleased to see Leeds retain their Premier League status. He recently backed Man City in the title race, saying he thought the whole country would be behind West Ham for the next 45 minutes during Arsenal's game earlier this month. He later posted from the FA Cup final, which City won, and praised Pep Guardiola after his departure from the Etihad.
