The World Cup is grabbing all the attention. Lionel Messi's performances are captivating the football world as usual.
Kylian Mbappé continues to make history with the French national team, while other stars such as Haaland are finally getting their chance to shine on the international stage thanks to the tournament's expansion.
Shifting focus back to Real Madrid's standout player, David Beckham, Inter Miami’s co-owner and a soccer legend, greets the French star before the match against Iraq, adding to the game’s anticipation.
The truth is that during a press conference, Kylian Mbappe revealed what Beckham told him, and the answer from the former PSG will leave MLS fans stunned.
Mbappé is arguably the most sought-after striker in world football, not just for his prolific scoring, but also his headline-grabbing presence both on and off the pitch.
While some controversies have surrounded him (which we'll set aside for now), his remarkable talent and leadership in attack consistently make him a game-changing force, keeping defenders on high alert every time he steps onto the field.
Ahead of the match against Iraq, the Real Madrid superstar revealed he had a conversation with former Merengue legend and Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham about a potential future transfer.
Mbappe said, “Playing in MLS one day? I don't know... David Beckham has mentioned it to me many times. We'll see, I don't know... American culture is different; there are no limits to ambition, and I like that."
While that possibility could send MLS fans into a frenzy, it is worth remembering that Mbappé is only 28 years old. As a result, any move to MLS would likely not happen until after the 2030 World Cup, when he will already be past the age of 32.
Only then can people realistically begin talking about rumors or a potential transfer in the near future.
Regarding his two seasons at Real Madrid, which were not what he expected, Mbappé explained: "I will not be here at 40 years old; they will have kicked me out before then. I am not thinking that far ahead, I am only thinking about the present."
