Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly held talks with MLS side San Diego over a possible move.

According to the Sun, De Bruyne, who is the captain of the Citizens, is out of contract in the summer and unlikely to agree new terms with the eight-time Premier League champions.

However, a stumbling block in the 33-year-old’s move to the US could be his wage demands, which would be too much for the newest MLS side’s budget.

As reported by the Athletic, Chelsea would have to pay Manchester United £5 million if they want to opt against making Jadon Sancho’s loan move permanent.

The 24-year-old had a bright start at the Blues, but his form has tailed off in the last couple of months, and he is without a goal contribution since January 4. The obligation for Enzo Maresca’s side to sign Sancho is £25 million.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are willing to let Darwin Nunez leave the club this summer. The Uruguayan has only made eight Premier League starts this season under Arne Slot.

The 25-year-old was subject to bids from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal in the winter transfer window, but that move was blocked, according to Football Insider. The Reds would be more willing to listen to offers this summer.

Staying with Liverpool, and they could use 19-year-old winger Ben Doak as a makeweight in any deal for Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez or Antoine Semenyo, as reported by the Sun.

Kerkez has impressed for Andoni Iraola’s side this season, with the 21-year-old seen by many as the natural heir to Andrew Robertson as the Reds’ leftback.

Finally, Tyrone Mings is expected to join the Euro 2028 board of directors to help organise the tournament.

According to the Telegraph, the 32-year-old is set to be named by Football Association chair Debbie Hewitt for her tournament board this week. Mings will be the most high-profile footballer to hold such an influential role while still playing.
