Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed they ‘want to sign Kevin De Bruyne, but it takes two’ to reach an agreement.
The midfielder is a free agent after letting his Manchester City contract run down, which will expire on June 30.
Multiple sources are confident that not only is he in advanced negotiations for a three-year deal at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, but that he has put Napoli at the top of his wish-list, surpassing all other alternatives.

“Do we want De Bruyne? It is our intention to sign him, but it takes two to make a deal,” De Laurentiis told Il Mattino newspaper, via Tuttomercatoweb.
There were reports last night from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that the offer on the table is worth €6m per season net for the first two seasons, then dropping to €5m for the third campaign.
De Bruyne should also receive a signing-on bonus worth €10m due to his status as a free agent.

Naturally, this would be a significant drop from the salary he currently commands at Manchester City, but few clubs could match those figures.
The player hopes to reunite with his good friend and fellow Belgium international Romelu Lukaku.
