Patrick Dorgu is currently signing the papers to become Manchester United’s first January addition to the senior team.
The Red Devils have secured the services of the 20-year-old left-back who has taken Serie A by storm over the past year or so. After weeks of negotiations, they finally found an agreement with the stubborn Lecce who were happy to maintain their prized asset until the end of the season, unless their demands were satisfied.
Eventually, the Premier League giants splashed the cash, offering the Serie A minnows €30 million in addition to bonuses that could reach €7 million.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Dorgu is currently signing his Man Utd contract which will tie him to the club for the next five years. The transfer market expert insists the deal has been ‘sealed’ Therefore, we can expect the official confirmation to arrive in the coming hours.

The Denmark international played his last match for Lecce on Friday night, helping his side secure a 3-1 victory away from home in a six-point relegation showdown against their hosts Parma. The left-back appeared to be bidding the travelling supporters farewell ahead his his imminent Premier League transfer.
Dorgu was pictured earlier in the day taking a flight from Italy to Manchester. He then underwent his medical on Saturday afternoon and is now all set to become the club’s first January signing, barring teenager Diego Leon and Ayden Heaven who won’t join the first team immediately.
Ruben Amorim has been desperate for reinforcement on the down flank, especially amidst the physical struggles of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. The England international is now expected to return from his latest injury setback, while the Dutchman is heading towards the exit door, possibly on loan to Benfica.
