Decisive figure lifts Hearts over Rangers | OneFootball

Lawrence Shankland decided it in the 42nd minute with a right-footed finish from a tight angle, as Hearts beat Rangers 2-1 at Tynecastle Park.

He darted onto Cláudio Braga's headed pass and drilled low into the bottom right (42.), turning a rehearsed set piece into the game's key moment.

After the restart he flashed one just wide from the centre (60.). Jack Butland then tipped a left-footed effort high (65.). Moments later he forced the goalkeeper into another low stop (69.).

Shankland finished with four attempts, three on target, and six touches in the box, plus two clearances. He is now on nine goals, first in the Scottish Premiership scoring chart.

The Jambos repeatedly found him early from restarts and second balls, and his near-post runs kept Rangers' back line uneasy.
