Inter suffer defeat in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff. In Norway, the Nerazzurri were beaten 3-1 by Bodo/Glimt at the Aspmyra Stadion. Battling the freezing conditions, Inter came up short, and now on Tuesday at San Siro, they’ll need to overturn the deficit to reach the round of 16.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Fet after a slick move. Inter responded, hitting the post with Darmian and then drawing level in the 30th minute through Esposito. The second half started with another near-miss from Lautaro, hitting the post again. But the home side’s physicality shone through, scoring twice in three minutes: Hauge in the 61st and Høgh in the 64th. Inter failed to respond and it was the hosts who dominated.
