Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski has made a significant admission ahead of his side’s meeting with Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Pep Guardiola and his players will be looking at this weekend’s fixture with extra motivation to win, having lost all of their last four matches across competitions amid a concerning injury picture within the first-team squad.

The November international break has handed the club the perfect opportunity to put focus and attention onto recovery processes of their key stars, while the two-year contract extension of Pep Guardiola has lifted spirits around the club at a vital time.

But the visit of Ange Postecoglou’s side is no easy task, with Manchester City having struggled on various occasions against the North London side, and having already succumbed to defeat against them in the Carabao Cup fourth round this campaign.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the contest, Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski issued a word of warning to Manchester City, admitting that visiting the Etihad Stadium is his ‘favourite’ game of the entire football calendar.

“My favourite game of the year. I have such good memories from there. I know they are the best. I know they have been winning the Champions League and the Premier League for many years. But it’s where I come alive,” the Swedish international admitted.

He continued, “I feel my body differently in those games. I feel super confident, knowing before the game that I will give a big performance. I just let God do his work.

“Even if there are five minutes left, I don’t panic. I know it can happen in the last second. I really love to play the best teams.”

From a Manchester City perspective, they know that at a busy time of the campaign, they can afford little to no errors amid the form of Liverpool who come into the weekend’s matches with a five-point lead on the reigning champions.

City’s Premier League attentions are balanced alongside commitments in the UEFA Champions League too, with meetings against Feyenoord and Juventus coming across the next two months, whilst PSG and Club Brugge await in January.
