Dembélé and Doué, double blow for PSG!

Ousmane Dembélé, a 28-year-old forward for Paris Saint-Germain, had to leave during the match against Ukraine this Friday night (2026 World Cup qualifiers) after he came on at halftime in place of Désiré Doué (who suffered a calf injury). The problem was with his right hamstring. He will therefore be unavailable for the rest of the tournament and leaves the assembly. Just like Désiré Doué, a 20-year-old midfielder/forward.

“Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé will not stay at Clairefontaine. The outcome was known for the former Barcelona player, who suffered a thigh injury. The 20-year-old midfielder, who took a blow to a calf on Friday and was taken off at halftime against Ukraine (2-0), will also be made available to PSG.", reports L’Equipe.

We suspected for Dembélé, who needs to have an MRI quickly in hopes that the news is not too bad. As for Doué, coach Didier Deschamps had been rather reassuring. The next match is coming up quickly, this Tuesday against Ukraine. It could be a simple precaution (which would be a nice change...), but we are also wary of a more serious problem than expected. We eagerly await the results of the tests, hoping they are relatively positive.
