PSG beat Marseille 5-0 at the Parc des Princes to return to the top of Ligue 1, a record-breaking Classique powered by Ousmane Dembélé's brace and two goals from the bench.
In the 12th minute, Nuno Mendes raced clear and squared for Ousmane Dembélé to tap in from close range.
Matvey Safonov then made key stops, notably denying Amine Gouiri at point-blank range, to keep control as Les Phocéens looked for a response.
Dembélé doubled the lead after pressing Leonardo Balerdi and thumping in at the near post (37.).
After the restart, a looping touch off Facundo Medina beat his own goalkeeper (64.). Moments later, substitute Khvicha Kvaratskhelia timed a superb first time volley from Dembélé's clipped pass (66.).
Play paused for a brief stadium warning as the referee spoke to both captains (70.). Minutes later, Lee Kang-in rifled a near post finish from Senny Mayulu's pass (74.).
PSG tallied 22 attempts and struck the woodwork four times, underlining their dominance. Les Phocéens mustered nine attempts, with three on target.
Next, PSG visit Rennes. Les Phocéens host Strasbourg.
