Deportivo Madryn to face San Martín de San Juan in Copa Argentina | OneFootball

Deportivo Madryn have been drawn against San Martín de San Juan in the 2026 Copa Argentina round of 32, with the winner to meet Platense or Argentino de Monte Maíz.

According to SuperDepor.com, the draw took place on Wednesday at the Lionel Messi complex in Ezeiza and set all the round of 32 ties. San Martín de San Juan were relegated to the second tier this season.

This will be the 14th edition of the national cup featuring clubs from Argentina’s main divisions, with Deportivo Madryn involved once more. In November 2021 the Aurinegro sealed a historic promotion to Primera Nacional, and in the 10th edition they reached the last 16 after penalty shootout wins over Huracán and Tigre.

Deportivo Madryn will learn their Primera Nacional group opponents on 22 this month, also via a draw.

Among the headline ties, Boca face Gimnasia de Chivilcoy, River play Ciudad de Bolivar, Independiente meet Atenas de Río Cuarto, Racing take on San Martín de Formosa and San Lorenzo face Deportivo Rincón.

The Copa Argentina champions qualify for the 2027 Copa Libertadores and play the Supercopa Argentina against the Trofeo de Campeones winners. From 2026, the champions also qualify for the new Recopa de Campeones, facing the Supercopa Argentina and Supercopa Internacional winners.
