Jacob Zetterström saved from Maja in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time. From the resulting corner, Mepham headed into the top right, with Jayson Molumby nodding the assist, in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time.

Derby had 58.1% possession yet produced five attempts with one on target. West Bromwich Albion registered 13 attempts, four on target.
