La Liga giants Barcelona broke a club record for revenue in their most recent outing.

That’s according to the reliable RAC1, who have provided an insight into the financial details behind the Blaugrana’s latest haul.

Hansi Flick’s Barca of course marked their return to action on Sunday, welcoming arch rivals Real Madrid to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the day’s hosts emerged on the right side of the result, triumphing by four goals to three to all but secure their status as Spanish champions for 2024/25.

As alluded to above, though, the eventual outcome at Montjuïc was far from the only reason for Barcelona, and specifically the club’s board, to celebrate on Sunday.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of RAC1 that:

‘Barça has invoiced €13.8M from the Clásico at Montjuïc. The club states that this is the total record for a single matchday.’
