Dinamo Zagreb coach Mario Kovacevic has confirmed that Leon Jakirovic is set to join Serie A giants Inter Milan.
During his pre-match conference via FCInter1908, the Blues boss delivered a huge update on the 17-year-old’s immediate future.
Leon Jakirovic is on the verge of joining the Nerazzurri after Dinamo Zagreb accepted Inter’s €2.5 million offer, plus add-ons.
Furthermore, the teenage defender has also given his go-ahead for the transfer despite being courted by Barcelona and Red Bull Salzburg.

The perennial Croatian champions will take on FCSB in their penultimate Europa League outing later today.
However, Jakirovic won’t be part of the squad, as he prepares to travel to Italy to undergo medicals at San Siro.
Asked about Jakirovic’s imminent departure, Kovacevic replied: “That’s what he and his family decided. They accepted Inter’s offer.
“I’m sorry to see him go, but I wish him all the luck in the world to succeed.”
After completing Jakirovic’s transfer, Inter will likely focus on luring Hajduk Split prodigy Branimir Mlacic to Serie A.
Unlike the Dinamo youngster, Mlacic should stay in his homeland on loan until the end of the season.
