Diniz request: Vasco ‘submit’ bid for Udinese striker Brenner amid urgency | OneFootball

Less than 24 hours after Diniz publicly praised a transfer target, Vasco have submitted a formal bid to Udinese for striker Brenner, 25.

According to ESPN, the proposal is to buy his economic rights for between four and five million euros, roughly R$ 25 million to R$ 31 million.

There is optimism at São Januário, along with urgency. The forward is not in Udinese’s plans for the remainder of the European season, which could ease his release. With David’s exit viewed as imminent and speculation around Vegetti, recruiting a proven goalscorer is now a priority.

The push aligns with a direct request from Diniz. The pair worked together at São Paulo between 2019 and 2020, when the striker enjoyed the most prolific spell of his career under the coach.

Brenner was recently on loan at FC Cincinnati in MLS, scoring six times in 10 matches in the second half of last year. Vasco believe a reunion could reignite him and provide the mobility and finishing they seek for 2026.
