Diogo Prioste is preparing to leave Benfica, with Alverca among the clubs tracking the midfielder. According to Glorioso 1904, the Ribatejo side have registered interest in the Portugal youth international.

Benfica’s SAD, led by Rui Costa, remain open to negotiating Prioste’s departure, a stance flagged in recent weeks. Alverca are following the situation closely and believe they could put together a proposal, aided by a strong institutional relationship between the clubs.

That proximity was underlined last season when goalkeeper André Gomes joined Alverca on loan from Benfica. He played regularly for the Ribatejo outfit, a spell viewed positively by both clubs.

Prioste’s priority is a project offering consistent senior minutes. He is still regarded as a player with room to develop and, together with Benfica’s hierarchy, feels the time is right to seek a platform for greater responsibility.

Talks are at an early stage and no agreement is in place. Even so, the strong ties between the two SADs could help narrow the gap. Everything points to Prioste’s future lying away from the Luz, with Alverca now hoping to be the club that secures him.
