Diario AS reports that Yan Diomande is close to becoming Real Madrid’s fifth summer signing, with PSG withdrawing after a £102.5m offer was rejected. Talks with RB Leipzig continue and further additions have not been ruled out.
BBC Sport says the 19-year-old has agreed personal terms worth more than £100m, with a performance-based deal modelled on Jude Bellingham. Club sources say José Ángel and Juni Calafat have tracked Diomande for about five years.
He spent 2024-25 at Leganés before joining Leipzig on a five-year contract, then hit 12 goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga last term, earning Young Player of the Season. Fabrizio Romano claims Mourinho has mapped out roles on both flanks, primarily on the right, with cover for Vinícius Júnior.
On Rodri, Diario AS understands nothing concrete has progressed beyond the Manchester City midfielder’s interest in a LaLiga return, with Madrid his preferred option. A recent hard no from the hierarchy has softened, the window runs until September, yet nothing is active and departures would be required before any midfield registration.
Bernardo Silva’s arrival has further crowded midfield. Aside from Dani Ceballos leaving and Aurélien Tchouaméni renewing, little has changed. Gonzalo García is expected to go permanently and Franco Mastantuono on loan, while Jorge Mendes seeks a club for Raúl Asencio.
Brahim Díaz and Eduardo Camavinga intend to stay. Attention turns to Vinícius Júnior, with the club keen for a swift decision on his future as his contract winds down.
