Milan have agreed a deal for 20-year-old Troyes defender Sankhoun Diawara, claim Footmercato, hijacking a transfer that had been arranged with Glasgow Rangers.
The Rossoneri had a significant disadvantage compared to the Scottish club, because while they wanted to sign him for their Under-23 squad that plays in Serie D, Rangers aimed to bring him straight into the senior team.

Nonetheless, Milan proved more convincing and the French reports claim an agreement has been reached, with only a few minor details left to be sorted out.
Once those are completed, he can fly out for his medical tests in Italy.
Several clubs had made approaches for Diawara, who made 24 competitive appearances last season, scoring once and providing one assist.
He is primarily a central defender, but can also play at left-back when required.
A product of the Troyes youth academy, Diawara has two caps for France at Under-19 level and his contract with Troyes was set to expire at the end of this season.
