Corinthians beat Flamengo 2-0 to win the Supercopa do Brasil, then coach Dorival Júnior was soaked with an ice bath during his post-match press conference at Mané Garrincha.
He was addressing the media when players burst in, with Raniele and João Vitor Jacaré carrying a cooler and tipping it over him. According to Meu Timao, the manager took it in good humour, echoing scenes after December's Copa do Brasil triumph.
Matheus Bidu, Charles, Kauê and Breno Bidon also joined the celebration.
The triumph is Corinthians' second Supercopa, having also beaten Flamengo in 1991. Prize money totals about R$ 11.55 million, with R$ 6.35 million for each finalist from the CBF, plus US$ 1 million, about R$ 5.2 million, from Conmebol to the champions.
It marks a third trophy in less than a year, after the Paulistão in March 2025 against Palmeiras and the Copa do Brasil in December against Vasco da Gama at the Maracanã.
Corinthians face Capivariano on Thursday at 20:30 at Neo Química Arena in the sixth round of the Paulistão.
