Borussia Dortmund are close to finalising a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for striker Fabio Silva.
Talks between the two clubs are advanced, with a transfer fee of around €25 million (£21.6m) under discussion.
Negotiations are continuing over the structure of the payment and the addition of performance-related bonuses.
The move would end Silva’s four-year spell at Wolves, where he struggled to secure a regular role.
The Portuguese forward joined the Premier League side from Porto in 2020 for a then-club-record £35m.
At the time, he was regarded as one of Europe’s most promising young talents, but opportunities at Molineux were limited.
Silva has spent most of his career on loan at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Rangers and Las Palmas.
Silva last appeared competitively for Wolves in the first half of the 2023-24 campaign, making 10 appearances before his loan to Rangers.
He has played 75 matches for the club, scoring five goals and registering six assists.
Speaking earlier this year, Silva admitted that his £35m price tag created pressures that were hard to manage.
He said he felt he ‘didn’t have time and space to make mistakes’ and that expectations often overshadowed his age.
The 23-year-old believes he has matured through his experiences across different leagues in Europe.
If completed, the Dortmund move would mark a significant step for Silva, offering him Champions League football and a platform to relaunch his career.
For Wolves, the deal continues a summer of high-profile departures.
Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Goncalo Guedes, Nelson Semedo and Pablo Sarabia have already left Molineux during this window.
The club are also managing interest in striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, with Newcastle United having a £50m bid rejected earlier today.
