Dortmund keen on winger that Chelsea hold ‘buy-back option’ on | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs interested in signing Diego Moreira from Strasbourg this summer.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye of the German giants after an impressive campaign in France.

Moreira, who can feature in numerous roles down the left flank, has three goals and four assists in 23 Ligue 1 appearances this season. His performances have helped Strasbourg to eighth as the club target European qualification again.

Moreira’s versatility appeals to Dortmund, with the Belgian having operated at left-back, wing-back and further forward as a left-winger.

Strasbourg value the player between €30m and €40m and stand to make a big profit on Moreira, who was signed from sister-club Chelsea for just £1.7m in 2024.

However, Dortmund’s interest could be complicated by Chelsea’s buy-back clause. According to Sky Germany, the West Londoners have a ‘very favourable’ buy-back option on Moreira.

Moreira, who represented Portugal at youth level, has won two senior caps for Belgium since pledging his international allegiance to his birth nation.
