Dortmund press for clarity on Schlotterbeck future after Wolfsburg win | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has called for swift clarity on Nico Schlotterbeck's future.

According to BuLi News, Kehl raised the subject after Saturday's 2-1 win over Wolfsburg. "I'm a fan of clarity in all areas. Sometimes you have to be patient, sometimes you make your own decisions, and in other situations, you depend on the other side. We're stepping on the gas," he said.

He added, "Nico knows that we want a decision as soon as possible!"

Dortmund want the centre-back to decide on an extension beyond 2027.

In pursuit of a new long-term deal, the club are reportedly ready to offer €14 million a season and include a €60 million release clause effective from 2027.
