Pep Guardiola and Manchester City travel to Portman Road this weekend in the hope of a more positive outcome than their last top-flight clash earlier on in the week.

The reigning Premier League champions will be hoping to get back to winning ways and pile on the pressure on the teams around them in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League spot for the 2025/26 campaign.

It was a disappointing showing against Brentford last time out as defensive flaws once again showed themselves, with Phil Foden’s brace to earn a two-goal lead cancelled out in the final 13 minutes to share the points at the Gtech Community Stadium.

As for this weekend’s opponents in Ipswich Town, Kieran McKenna’s side were on the receiving end of a more disappointing result in midweek as they fell to a 0-2 home defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester City are likely to be on the verge of full strength this weekend with only Oscar Bobb and Rodri sidelined through recovery from injury, although the former is back in first-team training and is only a matter of time away from a return to competitive duties.

Ahead of the confirmed team news from Portman Road this weekend, some initial information has began to filter throughout social media from journalists and sources regarding Manchester City’s starting line-up.

According to the information of the Manchester Evening News’ Joe Bray, following a spell with a muscular injury and having returned to full first-team training throughout the week, Ruben Dias has returned to City’s matchday squad against Ipswich Town.

Kieran McKenna and Pep Guardiola are expected to confirmed their respective Ipswich Town and Manchester City starting line-ups around 15:15 (UK) on Sunday afternoon.

Now confirmed.
