Former Arsenal director Edu Gaspar has been appointed as Nottingham Forest's Global Head of Football.
The Brazilian left Arsenal midway through the 2024/25 campaign amid rumours that he was set to join Evangelos Marinakis' network of football clubs.
That has now happened with Forest creating a new role for former player Edu. The 47-year-old's role will see him oversee "recruitment, performance, squad strategy, and player development" according to a statement released by the club.
"I’m truly excited about this new chapter and honoured by the trust placed in me," Edu said about his new role.
"This project connects deeply with my values around innovation and long-term planning. I look forward to building a global football model that is competitive, sustainable, and aligned with our President’s ambition."
Nottingham Forest were one the surprise packages of the 2024/25 season, finishing seventh and earning European football again in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
