The second round of World Cup group fixtures rolled on, with eye-catching results across Groups G and H.
As reported by Le Progres, the 2026 tournament runs from 11 June to 19 July.

In Group H, Spain eased past Saudi Arabia 4-0, responding to their 0-0 opening draw with Cape Verde. Cape Verde and Uruguay drew 2-2.
Group G remains tight. Belgium were held 0-0 by Iran, and Egypt beat New Zealand 3-1.
Mohamed Salah was named man of the match against New Zealand, scoring once and creating five chances. The win puts the Pharaohs alone at the top of Group G.
