Eintracht Frankfurt activate buy-back to re-sign Noel Futkeu

According to BuLi News, Eintracht Frankfurt have activated a buy-back clause to re-sign 23-year-old striker Noel Futkeu from Greuther Fürth this summer.

He was sold to the 2. Bundesliga side in 2024, and the clause will see him return at the end of the campaign.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche said Futkeu had progressed well at Fürth, noting that regular second-division minutes had benefited him as a player and person. He added the club were pleased about his impending return.

Futkeu has 15 goals in 30 league appearances this season, joint-second in the 2. Bundesliga scoring chart.

Before leaving, he hit 16 goals in 27 matches for Eintracht’s second team in the Regionalliga Südwest during the 2023/24 campaign.
