Liverpool will face off against Galatasaray at RAMS Park this Tuesday night as they look to secure a win on the road in this UEFA Champions League last 16 first-leg clash. The Reds managed to earn a 3-1 win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.

Arne Slot will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this clash. Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz and Ibrahima Konate could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Alisson Becker will function in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after he conceded one goal in his last outing. Virgil Van Dijk will operate alongside Ibrahima Konate at the heart of the Liverpool backline as they look to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Joe Gomez could fill in as the right-back, while Andy Robertson hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back.

Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez will offer cover for the full-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for Liverpool as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Mohamed Salah will play just ahead of them as part of Slot’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if the Reds are to earn a convincing win in midweek.

Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha will make up the numbers on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike will lead the line for the Merseyside club up top. He has to find a way to be a real threat in the final third.

Federico Chiesa will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if the Reds are in need of a goal by then. However, Alexander Isak remain sidelined for Liverpool due to injury.
