After being elected in August, the attacking midfielder from the Academy has repeated the feat by being the Bang & Olufsen MVP of the month of November, thanks to three goals and an assist.
He had said he wanted to achieve the double-double: 10 goals, 10 assists, this season in the beginning of October. Two months after this statement at a press conference, Eliesse Ben Seghir is on schedule with already five goals for three assists. His goal is still achievable thanks to an excellent month of November where he scored three times and provided an assist, thus earning him the title of player of the month by Bang & Olufsen.
And if AS Monaco confirmed its good start to the season in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, it is partly thanks to its number 7, starting with a win in Strasbourg (1-3). With the Rouge et Blanc losing with a quarter of the match left to play, the Academy graduate took things by the hand by first obtaining a penalty which he converted, and then doubled the lead at the end of a marvel of collective action.
A double scored with composure which allows him to cross the ten goal mark with the Club and become the third youngest player to reach this threshold in the 21st century at the age of 19 years and 267 days, behind Kylian Mbappé (18 years and 75 days) and Anthony Martial (19 years and 142 days).
After playing with Morocco over the break where he had an assist Eliesse restarted in style after the international break by setting up his #MadeInLaDiagonale teammmate Maghnes Akliouche, in a win over Brest (3-2).
He was then decisive once again five days later in the Champions League against Benfica. Perfectly found by Aleksandr Golovin in the box, the Olympic bronze medallist only has to push the ball into the back of the net to score for the first time in his career in the competition.
After winning the MVP in August it is therefore logical that he did the saem in November with 55% of the votes collected. This time he is ahead of two players from the Academy: Maghnes Akliouche, author of two goals and an assist (30%), and Soungoutou Magassa (15%), impressive in the Monaco midfield in each of his appearances. Bravo Eliesse ! 👏
