Elijah Upson has visited the Arsenal training ground as he considers his next move following his exit from Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old defender turned down the professional terms offered by Tottenham and is considering joining the Gunners.
Arsenal could lose 16-year-old prodigy Kyran Thompson to Spurs after his contract ended, and Upson could move in the opposite direction.
However, the teenage defender has yet to make a final decision despite visiting the Sobha Realty Training Centre.
Manchester City, Chelsea, Everton, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and AS Monaco are also keen on Upson.
He has visited some of these clubs and is expected to make a decision later this month.
Upson left Tottenham after 11 years, having featured for them at under-17, under-18 and under-21 levels.
He was part of the Spurs squad that won the under-17 Premier League Cup in 2024-25.
Upson’s pace and athleticism are among the qualities which have attracted the Gunners.
Tottenham will be gutted to lose Upson, but could end up with two former Arsenal youngsters.
Spurs are pushing hard to sign Thompson and are also firmly in the race to sign Mishel Nduka after he left Arsenal last week.
Nduka was at Tottenham’s training ground earlier this week and hope he will join them.
