According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, new drone footage offers a fresh look at Leeds United’s Elland Road expansion, with early works concentrated on the West Stand.
The club moved quickly after the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, with plans to lift capacity to 53,000 via redevelopment of the North and West Stands, which is hoped to be fully complete by 2030.
Initial footage late last month showed Portakabins used by visiting teams being removed and the ticket office partially demolished. The latest update, filmed on Tuesday, 9 June, shows the ticket office now gone and further progress on the rear banqueting suite.
Around a third of the external structure beside the West Stand has been taken down, and the away fans tunnel in that area has also been demolished.
Work continues on a temporary building behind the North Stand, which began towards the end of the season and is expected to host corporate facilities during the project. Inside the ground, the turf has been lifted ahead of next season, with dugouts removed and screening in place around the West Stand technical areas.
Pitch and dugout works are due to be finished for the new campaign, while wider expansion activity will run through 2026/27. Chairman Paraag Marathe said the ticket office has gone and there will be some disruption, adding this is by design to avoid sacrificing seats and asking supporters to bear with the club.
