Elland Road’s upgrade is under way after the 2025/26 campaign, with Daniel Farke’s Leeds finishing 14th on 47 points. Summer recruitment plans now run alongside construction on the West Stand.

"No doubt there'll be some disruptions here and there," Marathe admitted. "The ticket office is gone." He was speaking to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk.

"It's all being done over a sort of a longer period of time so that we keep as many fans in their seats during matches. So there will be disruptions and probably some annoyances and hopefully everybody can just bear with us as we get through."

In early June the club officially launched the Elland Road enhancement, describing a momentous step in the 106-year history. Work has begun on the West Stand, removing the Banqueting Suite, with a new structure to be built over the existing towards UEFA Category 4 status. Executives, the Leeds United Foundation, Leeds City Council and ambassadors Stuart Dallas, Tony Dorigo and Eddie Gray attended.

Drone footage on the CC Overview YouTube channel last week showed early changes. Away-team Portakabins have gone, the ticket office is partly demolished and a LUTV building is coming down. Floodlights are down, crests removed from the Banqueting Suite, and a temporary structure behind the North Stand is rising for corporate use during the works.
