Corinthians have yet to make a signing 10 days into the second 2026 transfer window as the club balances finances against a congested second half and looming knockouts.
"We do need reinforcements. I am not saying they solve every problem, but with injuries, many competitions and the Libertadores, we need cover." She was speaking to Rádio Coringão after the 1-0 defeat by Palmeiras on Wednesday.
Corinthians held talks with forward Gabi Nunes, then ended them before the window opened, judging finances would not allow new deals. Fatal Fans sponsorship had been expected to help fund her return, but the club chose to use the money to pay debts. The men's team has three transfer bans, two from FIFA and one from the CBF.
"My hands are tied. Until further notice, I have to wait and work with the squad we have. I have been speaking almost daily with Iris, trying to find a solution."
The result left Corinthians fourth in the Campeonato Paulista Feminino. They face Flamengo on Thursday in the 14th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro at the Estádio Luso-Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro, kick-off 18:30.
The window opened on 20 July and runs until 11 September.
