England boss Thomas Tuchel hails Real Madrid star | OneFootball

England head coach Thomas Tuchel has this week moved to reiterate his appreciation for the talents of a member of the midfield ranks at Real Madrid.

The player in question? Federico Valverde.

Midfielder Valverde is for his part fresh off playing a decisive role against Tuchel’s England late last week.

After Uruguay made the trip to Wembley for a high-profile friendly clash, Marcelo Bielsa’s troops were afforded the chance to secure a share of the spoils from the penalty spot deep into injury time.

And Valverde stepped up to take responsibility from 12 yards, lashing home a fine spot-kick to keep alive an explosive recent stretch of individual form.

Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, the aforementioned Thomas Tuchel was therefore quick to heap praise on Uruguay’s star man.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, the German tactician reiterated his admiration for Valverde once more:

“One Uruguay player apart from Valverde to have in my team? Oh no, no, I’ll still pick Fede Valverde. Valverde will always have a place in any team in the world.”
