England continue their 2026 World Cup qualification campaign when they welcome Andorra to Villa Park this weekend.
The Three Lions face the minnows on home soil as they look to maintain their perfect record at the top of Group K, with Thomas Tuchel seeking to cement his authority early in his England tenure.
This fixture presents England with another opportunity to secure three crucial points against the lowest-ranked team in the group, while Tuchel will be keen to implement his tactical philosophy ahead of tougher tests.
The match marks England’s first appearance at Villa Park since a goalless draw with the Netherlands in 2005.
John Stones is the only player unavailable to Tuchel after the Manchester City defender left the camp with a minor muscle problem.
Trent Alexander-Arnold didn’t make the squad despite his high-profile move to Real Madrid, with Tuchel citing the need for the defender to improve his defensive discipline. The 26-year-old has struggled to secure a regular starting position at the Santiago Bernabéu and faces fierce competition for his England place.
Marcus Rashford returns to the England setup after his loan move to Barcelona from Manchester United. The 28-year-old brings pace and experience to England’s attacking options and will be pushing for a starting berth.
Djed Spence receives his first senior England call-up after an impressive start to the season with Tottenham, including a standout performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup final. The versatile defender can operate on either flank and offers pace and intensity in the final third.
Elliot Anderson also earns his maiden call-up following his consistent performances for Nottingham Forest in midfield. The 23-year-old was part of England’s successful U21 European Championship campaign and adds depth to Tuchel’s midfield options.
Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, and Jude Bellingham are all ruled out due to injuries, forcing Tuchel to look elsewhere for creativity and attacking threat.
Possible England starting XI: Pickford; James, Stones, Konsa, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Wharton; Madueke, Eze, Gordon; Kane.
The qualifier will begin at 5pm BST on Saturday.
The match will be broadcast live on ITV1 in the UK.
