Eray Cömert ‘to be considered’ by Fiorentina for summer move as contract runs down | OneFootball

Eray Cömert will be out of contract on 30 June 2026 and has been free to negotiate since 1 January. Although his exit could help Valencia add a second centre-back this month, a move in the coming days appears unlikely.

Italian reports suggest Fiorentina have shown interest in the Swiss defender and have requested updated information on a possible summer transfer. Fiorentina have been assessing centre-back options after conceding 34 goals in 22 matches. They are 18th in Serie A, in the relegation zone with Hellas Verona and Pisa.

Cömert joined Valencia in January 2022 from FC Basel for 800,000 euros. Over time expectations faded and his role diminished.

He then had consecutive loans, first at FC Nantes in 2023/24 where he was a regular. In 2024/25 he played for Real Valladolid in LaLiga, and the team were relegated at the end of the season.

With Valencia not planning to renew, he is listening to offers ahead of 1 July.
