Ajax have secured the transfer of not one, but two Women’s Super League talents. Katja Snoeijs and Nadine Noordam from Everton and Brighton respectively have signed long-term contracts in the Dutch capital.
The pair of Netherlands internationals make their return to their home country after showing their talents in England’s top league.
Snoeijs left her mark on Merseyside, scoring 16 goals in 75 games for the Toffees. As an established Netherlands regular, it’s a huge mark of intent from the Amsterdam-based side. The 29-year-old joins on a free transfer following the expiration of her contract.
Noordam had a less successful but fairly consistent time in the WSL. She represented Brighton 39 times during her stay. The 27-year-old famously scored the winning goal in the 95th minute against Liverpool to send the Seagulls to the 2026 FA Cup final.
It’ll be a welcome move to Ajax for Noordam, who struggled to make a difference at Brighton, often being used as a substitute. Having had major success in the Netherlands previously, it’s a league the player knows well. Noordam has previously won the Eredivise with Ajax and has three KNVB Cups to her name with Ajax and ADO Den Haag respectively.
Noordam already has over 100 appearances for Ajax and will undoubtedly be a welcome signing for both fans and new teammates alike. The pacy box-to-box midfielder has never quite made the step up the senior side for her country but this move could foster that development despite now being in her mid-20s.

Ajax will be looking to progress from their second place finish in the 2025/26 season. The Amsterdam club finished behind champions PSV by just four points.
Their last pre-season fixture will see the club face FC Nürnberg in mid-July before their important UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying game against Brøndby on August 5th.
